Tennessee- Commercial/Business Automobile Tags

Hey guys,
A friend of mine got pulled over today for tint. He did not get a ticket but the cop told him to apply for a commercial or business tag. He said it would be $20/year, that anyone can get one, and it will allow him to tint his vehicle as dark as he wants. Any fellow Tennesseeans have any experience with this?

this is the southwest. i think you meant to post this in the southeast-where TN is grouped on e90post
