LA has some nice fast rental cars if you know where to look. Did you have something in mind?

Just caravan down with badass335. He's got to stop off in WA anyway (lives in Vancouver) to meet up with the girls he met there driving down to the last Airstrip Event

Can't wait to see how the e85 tune performs on an FBO application! By the way any idea how much HP you are gaining FBO/meth with the addition of the e85 maps?

I'm now seriously considering this event. Would it be better to bring a FBO N54 car or my stock 2012 ZL1 Camaro? Thinking Camaro as there will be great showing of mod N54s, and probably very few ZL1s. Is it lame to bring a stock car though? it does have 580hp

I think you hit the nail on the head. I doubt there will be many ZL1's and I think it would create some nice comparisons. I'm sure there will be a few new GT500's present as well....modded and not.

Hey guys, here's the hotel information: The "Socal" location is about 30 minutes south of the Airport and the "Norcal" location is about 30 minutes north of the Airport. Most cars will be at the Socal location.

For the Socal Guys:

We booked 50 rooms at the Best Western in Kettleman City. They're already filling up. Mention Shift-S3ctor for a discounted rate. We will be hiring private overnight security to watch the vehicles at this location as most cars will be staying at this location.

Best Western Plus Kettleman City Inn & Suites
33410 Powers Drive,
Kettleman City, CA, 93239
(559)386-0804

For NorCal guys:

We also booked 20 rooms off for those guys that don't want to drive another 40 minutes or so to the other hotel. Again, mention Shift-S3ctor for a discount.

Best Western Coalinga
25020 West Dorris Street Coalinga, CA 93210
(559) 935-0866

Registration opens on our website September 10th at 10 AM. www.shift-s3ctor.com

Just a heads-up, it appears over half the rooms are booked at the SoCal location. If you plan to register on monday, I would recommend getting your hotel accommodations taken care of

I'm really shooting to make it this time. I had issues last year and I had to miss out. At the very least, I'll have E85. At this point I'm planning for a single though

Hope you can make this one. Getting a single would be awesome but don't fret if you don't have it by then as with an e85 tune you will definitely have a blast!

I hope so as I'd love to see what it's capable of but his car has been "almost" done for over 2 years now...so if I were a betting man, I'd bet no.

I plan on signing up for saturday, and I'm trying to get tuned for 100% e85 by then, but what do you think crank hp would be on dps, dci, catback, and 100% e85?

Your car is gonna fly with that combo! I don't know what crank HP is, but people generally sandbag a bit. So if you are making 440 wheel HP, that's a little over 500 at the crank...but you'd probably tell Shift-S3ctor you are making 475. Your crank HP number is written on your back window and that's how people figure out who they will race. I would think you would be wanting to race the cars in the 500-599 HP group since the 135 is fairly light. 6AT or 6MT?

I'd expect in the 450 range. Are you running the flex-fuel setup?
