Not an expert but how can that round be aerodynamically stable at long distances? It looks like it would lose speed fast.

Interesting. That much penetration might need consideration for home defense. Right now if I miss a shot, I might send something the size of a quarter through my wall. With this, it looks like a shotgun blast coming out the other side.

Might make self defense in apartment buildings or even a multi bedroom homes impractical.

It's a pistol round, so long distance is something not in the equation. Most pistol shots are within 50yards.

A 9mm is not a sniper round. I'd be surprised if you have to shoot anyone farther than 6-10 feet away in a real world situation.

I wonder if it has any "feed" issues with edges like that.

It certainly would make you think so, by looking at it, but it seems to function well based on their videos...

The video shows it feeding fine in full-automatic fire so it seems to be functional.
EDIT: Something like a 1911 may be a little more picky with them though.

I'm curious about whether this thing will go the same way as the Black Talon and get driven out of existence by its scary looks.

Also I'll take a box in 9, 10 and .45 please.

I never understood that train of thought. "OMG this bullet looks scary! BAN IT!". Sorry, but I want the guy to die faster and easier.

50 yards is already pushing it. Most pistol shot is shot accurately ~7 yard.

Well they were never banned but Winchester pulled them from the market because of all the bad press. Most of it was media nonsense too such as that it would pierce police officers' bulletproof vests (despite being a hollowpoint round, lol) and that it would buzz through the bad guy like a drill and keep going into innocents. Winchester removed the black coating and started selling it as the Ranger T and hasn't had a problem since. The "ban the scary stuff" mentality of which you speak is what gun ownership faces every day though.

I have a box of BT's and have to keep them in a concrete room in my basement because every time I open the door one jumps up and attacks me and I have to put it down with a Super Soaker full of nitric acid. I really hope that these don't do the same!

Well if they work a surgeon won't be necessary.
