Active Autowerkes Exhaust just installed!

I just got back from VS Motorsports from getting my new Active Autowerkes Signature exhaust installed. Check out the video comparison I made to the stock exhaust. Best $600 I ever spent!!

sounds really good, i really want to get this but i've been worried about the drone problems that are being discussed on the n52 section, how do you feel about it? is it annoying or too loud?

2-2.5k drone does get loud. Anything out of that range will sound stock inside.

Andrew is looking for a fix, but no one will know the end result.

Im getting used to it already, the sound outside is fantastic it has a deep and mellow tone, not too loud. However, if Andrew can find a fix, even if it will cost me some money I will be even happier

Thanks for the update. I currently have the afe intake and a custom borla catback exhaust, but with fitment purposes and tips i want to swap to something made to fit our cars for a cleaner look.

i get some drone with this setup at 2500k rpms as well, i just wonder if this is better or worse than what im getting. it took me a while to get use to it too, but now my setup isn't bad at all.....

hmmm decisions.

Well, I mean if you have a catback, getting an axle-back will decrease performance indefinitely. I am pretty sure this will be louder, cause it does get quite loud haha according to my friends.

The exhaust quality is solid, the 80mm tips can definitely tell its modded. They are just tips right? you can pick up some quality ones for 80-100 bucks

its not just the tips, the aftermarket custom muffler is too long for the undercarriage, so its at an angle, causing the tips to come out at an angle. i want it straight back so a offset muffler like the oem set up is what i need.

maybe i'll look at a full exhaust swap. thanks for the info!

$600? That's very decent for the brand and sound you get out of it. I got the BMW performance exhaust for "cheap" at $950. This is a catback system, right?

I thought you were going for that slanted look, didn't know you were just stuck with it. Whatever, I hate you, your car is awesome and in my favorite color. Lol

lol, when i got back after my car was done from my trip to europe, they had it at a slant. wasn't by preference, but i took it in last weekend to see if we could redo the piping. the way the undercarriage is set up on the 328, and the muffler they used, it would need one that has an offset from midpipe to tail tips. i decided im just going to look for a full set up. thanks though
