Coilovers and 19 in wheels in Baltimore City

Ok Baltimorians, I need your advice:

I am about to purchase coils and 19 for my E90 and wondering what I can anticipated in terms of wear and tear on the car. I am probably going to get KW v2 or Blisten ps10 coils. I talk to John at Ye Old Wheel on Saturday and was not in support of 19's on the Baltimore City streets.

What do you guys think and how have your driving experience been since you lowered your car on coils and upgraded to 19's?

I need your feedback really bad as I am ready to purchase within the next week or so.

THX

I cringe every time I got to Baltimore on my 18s. I don't know about driving there on 19s. IMO, you are just asking to spend more money to fix bends and cracks.

If you drive a lot in the city, I would not strongly recommend it. I do it for summer, but I rarely drive in the city. Mostly on highway to work or fun runs. Never had a problem with OEM 189s (w/ RFTs), even through some nasty stuff.

Don't know too much about Bmore, but KW V2's are great! Great ride and easy to adjust if you need to.

if you spend a lot of time in the city, dont do it, not worth it.

i'm surprised the guy at ye olde didnt recommend it, as he would stand to have you as a repeat x10 customer.

I had that setup on my 335. Honestly it is possible to use in the city but you have to be damned careful and even then, you'll have wheel damage eventually.

If you are careful and observant when driving you will be fine on 19's with KW2s. I have had the same setup on my car in DC for 4yrs.
You have to go slow on broken up streets and keep an eye out for holes.
I know most of the streets where I drive. You can damage stock suspension if you drive wreckless and just run over stuff in the road.

There will be many moments of frustration and "Did I just get a flat?" and "Did I just crack a rim?".

Wonk:

how has your experience been to date with the KWV3 susp? Has it been mostly pleasant? Or, mostly most the feeling you mentioned above? etc....
