Painting my license plate?

Will I get into trouble like getting a ticket from painting them? For example painting the whole plate to black and leave the words white... I would also want to black out the statue of liberty.

Yes and you will get pulled over quicker than if you had no plate at all.

You could do it just to test how quickly you'd get pulled over. We'll all pony in a dollar each to cover your ticket.

You are allowed to cover up expressions which you don't wish to express yourself. U.S. Supreme Court says so. The case was from New Hampshire where someone covered up the "live free or die" motto on the plate.

I don't recommend getting into a constitutional law battle with the state... it's cheaper just not to do it, one way or ther other.

hey rubber ducky ill empty out one of my coffee cans so we can put together funds for that ticket. so when the cop pulls you over you can tell him what we were testing and that the E90post community already has the money to cover the ticket haha
