No worries. BTW, would love to meet up to see how the dinan feels. I am considering this as well! You can get a feel for the V2 should you want to as it is installed on my car but a decent tune, no codes AND warranty behind it sounds good right now... Let me know if you make an appointment at Mopac. They are 5mins from my place. The other thing I did like at this dyno was in to was in-ground. My car is lowered so it was simple. Just drive in, no ramps etc. so no scraping or worries.

Cheers man and enjoy the tune. (Weather permitting!)

Shiv has his work cut out for him. I am thinking the Procede V2 will be plug n play soon. Code free in all instances.

Meanwhile, we all were able to enjoy v1.47 (code free for me). Those waiting on Dinan finally got their flash. It will be rock solid (like v1.47), but it probably won't approach V2 levels of power. Those that want the Dinan warranty will go towards the flash no matter what the power difference is. If the power difference is small, some of us may go that direction because it really is only $500 more than a Procede V2 that needs to be installed and uninstalled over and over to keep your warranty safe.

To those that think you'll have nothing to sell when you get rid of your car, do you really think there will be much of a market for Procedes in 3 yrs? There will be newer, bigger and better things by then. There may even be a BMW performance upgrade. Just my 2cents. Cheers.
Great points! It is refreshing to see people like you and Badass335 - who have Procedes - still look at the situation objectively. It is too bad that the same can't be said for the vast majority of the Vishnu fan boys on this site.

The only drawback for people like me is that I don't have a factory oil cooler And BMW is NOT putting one in my car
With this in mind, for warranty, i need to spend for the oil cooler as well...
That adds up in a hurry! But the long run, I'm looking at the oil cooler upgrade anyways but wording does concern me. If you read the Dinan website, it states
No warranty applies if vehicle is NOT equipped with a factory or Dinan oil cooler
This limits me to either a factory or dinan oil cooler and if i'm paying, may as well go for the dinan one...
Food for thought!

Like to do this Friday morning/afternoon so if you’re available let me know. Do you have your dyno results to post?

Clearly theres a huge misconception on here on what it means to dyno a car. People are throwing out ballpark numbers that are completely meaningless. What if the Dyno is done on a mustang Dyno then 305 or even 310 wheel would be extremely high given the baseline dyno for a stock 335i on a mustang dyno is in the 240-250 whp range. Once again: different Dyno different day. Unless we get the cars stock numbers on the SAME dyno, I'll still be skeptical of the results the Original poster puts up.

But what fascinates me is how the fan boys dangling on Shiv's sack and willing to deal with code after code are the first to get defensive and question anyone who opts for a different tune (whether it is SSTT, Xede, Dinan, etc.)
This fact has astonished me as well.
Hope Shiv "Pays Well"...

While I concur with the first part of the quote (above), it's obvious that Orb isn't going to be providing numbers for his stock car (pre-flash). The best we can hope for is one or more other 335 owners to join Orb at the dyno and compare their cars as equipped (hopefully all with the same transmissions). If we're real lucky we'll see a completely stock dyno, a Vishnu tune dyno and the Dinan dyno.

At this point the car is over 160kph and in Vancouver, good luck finding roads that allow this. (Not saying that we can't

Again, i personally like the idea of Dinan's ECU flash. There's no substitue for actual ecu control. The reason I went with Procede at the start was due to the fact it was error free. I got tired of piggy backs on my supercharged passat and the guys couldn't sort the ecu out. Dinan has a great reputation so see where this all goes!

my .02 cents
I know the car limited to 130 MPH cause i hit that already...but not anymore.

There is lot of place to go fast and do it safely and all within 20 minutes of downtown.....like Seymour Mountain in the summer were you will not see a single car except me of course about 3:30 every other day and you might see a blue 02 M3 behind me as well.

If you have an auto make sure you bring the directions. Most dyno shops don't know how to dyno an auto 335i.

Yup, he has done a few 335i auto already and he was the first to tell me about so If i have this right.

2. Hold DTC button 5 secound.
3. Start car.
4. Put in ds mode and hit paddles for M1.

sweet. can't wait to see the results. make sure you ask them what a stock 335 dynos on their dyno, so we have some kind of baseline.... even if it isn't 100% accurate.
