Are you guys lapping in D or DS? Any transmission issues?

It's such a slush box on the street...wasn't originally thinking of tracking the car because of that but this thread has piqued my interest.

I put it in DS and let her rip. No attempt to manually shift was made. Too much else to focus on rather than trying to remember while under duress whether to push or pull. A standard tranny like I learned to drive on would be easier frankly.

Car has seen Chuckwalla, Fontana, and Buttonwillow. All rather tame, in my opinion, and I had no issues. The only thing I'd want to change right now for future venues is square vs. staggered setup, and tossing some more track appropriate tires on the car. Brake fade wasn't an issue (running my second set of OEM's on both the front and back), and even without the M suspension (sport suspension, yes, but still...) body roll on tight turns at speed was nominal. Very tight.

FWIW, I stayed in manual the whole time. That's the way I drive the car 95% of the time, anyway.
