ok, you see that dash up there right?

now you see this part?

this is where your idrive screen goes, only the oem screen has a resolution of about 400x200 which sucks balls. I'm going to swap out the oem lcd screen with a high end one. then the head unit will either go in the glove compartment or all the way on the bottom in the blank space that is there. i'm gonna move the ac controls too. but more on that later.

in other words, no i will not have "idrive", but i will have a monitor for entertainment in a location that no one here can beat.

i really just want to see the look on the techs face at the dealer when he realizes that there is no idrive knob.

Been too busy with performance mods, was actually selling it for a while. It's almost impossible to do what I wanted. Not the swap, but the headunit setup I wanted.

It's still for sale if you are interested. Another member was able to do the swap in about 5 hrs.
