Upper & Lower control arm DIY question

I am installing a set of M3 Upper & Lower control arms tommorow and have 2 questions.

1. I believe you are supposed to have your suspension at ride height when tightening down the bolts to Upper & Lower control arms and obviously can't do that while it is on the ground. Do you jack each hub up or put the front and rear tires on ramps or what?

2. What are the torque specs?

Found this tutorial, says its for the lower control arm but I think it is actuall the upper....but a great tutorial though.
