Should I get 20's or 19's
Im think about getting 20" wheels for my e92. My question is do I have to roll my fenders. I also want to go staggered so what measurements should I get. The also have the wheels I'm looking at in 19. I don't really know anything about the measurements of the wheels (example 19x9.5 what does this me is the the hight and width). The wheels are something like vossen CV3's if that helps. And if I get 19 should I lower my car just a bit.

IMO 20's are just to big for a 3 series, they just look out of proportion. A nice 19" in those CV3's with a subtle drop would look good. Not too sure about the fender rolling.

i just put the CV3 on my e93. i haven't dropped yet, but i plan to. no rubbing at all and there is still plenty of room. i'm happy with the 20". the ride is a lot smoother and quieter than on my stock 17's.

Size of the wheel is personal opion. I´m going use wide 18 inch.
Quote:
9.5 is width of the wheel Fender roll depends on the offset of the wheel. And also tyre size. |

Most people chose 19" wheels as it's a great balance between looks/performance. 20" wheels will require you to run a tire with a low profile and will be a bit more uncomfortable for everyday street driving. But like others have already said, it really is personal preference!
You may want to check out the VMR V705 wheels which are similar in design to what you're looking for. The setup that is going to work perfectly is the 19x8.5 ET35 with a 235/35/19 up front and the 19x9.5 ET33 with a 265/30/19 in the rear. Here are a couple more installed pictures for you to check out! You can do it, but it has to be done right. Some wheels, like a mesh, have a lot going on and don't need to be 20". If it's a simpler design, like a 5 spoke, 20" is gorgeous on the e92.
After taking this pic I lowered the car on Eibach Pros. A light fender roll on the rear eliminated all rubbing, rides like a dream. I wouldn't expect a whole lot of love in this forum for it but you should do what you like. |

19's max. My opinion is that wheels should accentuate a cars look, not be the the most Glaring thing standing out on a car. 20's on a 3 series looks ridiculously big. Tires, more expensive, ride quality suffers, as well as more rotational mass/weight.

Get 19's, 20's might be a little big. We just released a 5 spoke for you.
If you really wanted 20's we offer 20's in our v710 model. Shoot me a PM or email one of our retailers know if you'd like a set.

As you could see on the V710 model I've pictured above, the car does have his fenders rolled.

i dunno what everyone is talking about...the ride on my 20" Vossen CV3's are buttery smooth on Verenstein Sessanta tires.

Something also to consider is the price difference between 19" tires and 20" tires. 19" tires can get expensive, especially if you are running a 10"+ width wheel on an aggressive camber setup.
