I'm going to read the manual for the alarm on ur first post and try to program it to "signals" so my Xeons won't flash.

Never programmed the alarm but I'll try it.

I also bought one of these off ebay and mounted the valet switch in the glove box:

the hole seemed a little too small for the led/switch combo, but i just drilled it out a little. i can still reach it from the drivers seat if needed. If you don't have the remotekey+ installed, you may want to mount it somewhere where the led is visible though.

I just noticed there is an option in the Idrive for flash on lock and unlock. I haven't messed with it to see exactly what it is doing, but I assume it's the headlights. Maybe this is enabled on your car?

Yes. The idrive option just flashes the "signals" when u lock and unlock. Then I enabled the RK+ chirp on lock only, it's silent for unlock.

The DEI will only chirp for lock AND unlock or nothing. That's why I decided to install the RK+ "beeper".

Haven't been home for like 2 weeks. When I get back I'm gong to do what you suggested. The menu system w the led button is a little strange. I hope I don't screw anything up.

Maybe you could take it back to where you had it installed, to have them do it, if you aren't comfortable. It is pretty easy to get lost in the menus. Just don't change anything till you are 100% sure you are in the correct menu. They also sell a device called a bitwriter that is used to program that is easier to use. Probably not worth it to purchase just to program 1 alarm.

I just messed around with mine for a bit. It looks like no matter what I choose, the turn signal or parking lights, it does the same thing. I turned off the flash on lock unlock in the idrive and the signals stopped working even though i have that enabled on the alarm. i think what i was maybe seeing before was the welcome lights (halos) when i thought the headlights were flashing. Not really sure why your headlights are flashing unless your installer actually hooked them up.

Sorry to bring back an old thread guys but I have a question. I am installing this alarm tommorow and I am adding a 507m tilt sensor. One of the wires on the sensor says it has to go to the orange cable which is ground when armed which we are not connecting. What do I connect the wire to to get the sensor going ? Any alternatives ?
