Search but really can't find the answers:

Downpipe install was time consuming but not as impossible as I would have thought. The car runs super strong and I don't seem to have any vibration or performance problems whatsoever but some of the following questions remain:

1) I bought them used... how do I tell if they are revision 2?

2) Why the hell did they place the front O2 sensors so close to each other (pretty sure they touch or will touch when the DPs get hot and the sensor undergo thermal expansion. Also, why position the rear O2 sensor so that one of them sort of hangs out from the bottom? This can increase the chances of it getting hoocked unto road hazzards...

3) I guess hey eliminate the use for the downpipe bracket correct? But what are those unsued plugs for? The ones that are capped off.

4) Why is my steering wheel crooked now? Can I correct this by loosening, shifting and retightening the steering rack or did I somehow throw it out of alignment. I did not touch the tierods.

1) If there are no vibrations and they fit in there well, then why does it matter? Probably revision 2 though.

3) I believe that is correct. Which unused plugs?

4) That's unrelated, shop probably threw your alignment out of whack lifting the car?

i installed my downpipes over the weekend.. was also wondering why there was the 2nd hole for the 02. But it helped cause i tried to use the same bung openins as the stock ones and found that i had to change it to the other hole to make it fit correctly.

The extra bung can be used for a wideband AF sensor, maybe at the dyno or for a guage in your car. Lots of good uses.

Just curious, why is Jlevi SW handling the customer service for Riss Racing?

I had been trying to get in touch with them and hadn't heard anything at all..

Like I mentioned in another post, I was assured by Riss Racing that the fitment of the pipes would be 100% and that they wouldn't cause error codes. Sure enough my mechanic was forced to heat the pipes and hammer them a bit to make em even fit at all, and once they were installed they instantly threw error codes...

This only reinforces all the negative things I read about Riss Racing on this forum.

Besides some slight fitment issues, I can't see a reason for any other problems that are caused by RR DPs. It is just a metal pipe. Error messages are caused by running catless without O2 sims.

When did you purchase them? I believe Version II was shipped out in Jan or Feb.

Try to find out when the previous owner purchased them, anything purchased in the past year or year and a half would be a set of V2s. The V2s have a fatter short pipe than the V1s to match the long pipe flow.
