Exhaust Idea for 335
My wife and I were looking under the car during an exotic sex escapade and came up with an interesting exhaust idea.
Run a 2.25" -> 3" flowmaster Y and then a single 3" exhaust all the way back to a single 3" muffler on the right side. By eliminating the exhaust plate and the need to cross over to the driver side you could make the run very straight. Should be pretty cheap too, I'd guess $375 installed. |

I forgot, why THE FUCK are you gonna put a shitty Flowmaster on a BMW???
I wouldn't even allow that shit to go on my truck, let alone in the bed to take to the dumpster. Flowmaster mufflers suck. |

Apparently you didn't get that I was exaggerating. The car I've ever liked the sound of Flows on were Mustangs. I'm glad the OP either chose to ignore my comment or not take it seriously. Lighten up man, not everything you read is serious. I would like to hear Flows and love it, so I hope the OP does it and it sounds great. I just hope they're stainless steel. |

I think it's a neat idea but (my friend) decided to try the easy route first. He just ordered a few 2 1/4" mandrel bends and a pair of 2 1/4" exhaust cutouts.
He is going to cut the stock exhaust right before the pup cats, go straight back with new piping (ditch the exhaust plate), then after the rear axle go in to dual 2 1/4" cutouts (they will both open towards the center of the car, in-between the stock mufflers), and finally to the factory mufflers. He will also plug the vacuum line going to butterfly valve in the driver side tip so both sides are always open. With the cutouts open it should flow OK, and there might even be an improvement with the cutouts closed due to the pup cat/resonator/crush bend elimination.
