Lotsa bonding time to come. The camber and toe-out, brakes, tires, etc. don't change going back on the street, it's my daily in exactly the same form it is on the track. Looking forward to running the track more often, every week'd be cool. It is a 160mi round trip but what the heck, it's worth it.

Looks great! Did you cut and resew the gaiter to get it over the reverse lockout ring? Barely looks like the center console trim was cut up at all, nicely done.

I managed to get the gaiter over the ring so it wasn’t cut. The console trim had to be cut to clear the spring. I used AT console cover.

Nice. I couldn't get the gaiter over the reverse lockout to save my life, did you do anything specific or did it just fit with a bit of effort? Automatic transmission trim then for a reason or easier to get?

The alcantara gaiter is little flexible and with some persuasion I got it over the ring. Automatic transmission trim fits the opening and CF is readily available on ebay.

That’s what my wife said and she really meant the shifter.

You're permitted to run AX/track w/o a rollbar with fixed back seats? Every org I've asked around here sez nope.

Huh. Maybe I'm asking the question to these guys here the wrong way or something. Or maybe because I'd intended to use Schroth Quick Fit Pro harnesses with OMP HTE-R seats. Really confused now And couldn't get a single answer posting on the local BMWCCA chapter site.

For installing competition harness you will need seatbelt simulator. There are good instruction on Youtube how to install seat and sliders but I still didn’t find the pins for plugging in the simulator. I will do it in the spring because we have snow and cold. You will also need adaptor for the seat sliders because they are short for bolting them to the floor.

The slider bolted up between the OMP side brackets and the Planted base without a problem but it does add height, then again so does the Planted base. Ideally the side brackets would bolt right to VAC adapters bolted to the floor. Too low for the street though I think.

Finally got the gauge panel installed while I had the CF shifter plate out to install a momentary toggle to latch the Accusump EPC solenoid valve off and an indicator (Oznium) that will light when the valve is open (engine oil pressure falling below stored pressure in the Accusump).
All the wiring harnesses are finished but not installed as they take up a lot of room with the sensor cables coiled up. Otherwise the gauges would be lit. Meaningless but lit. The little toggle switch on the panel is for turning off the gauge illumination or setting it to full bright or dimmed.

You can code it out within the ECU and "occupy the seats" Everything will function okay. |

Unfortunately I don’t have the tool for coding and I don’t know anybody who can do it. I live some 180 miles from Munich yet I’m getting most ideas and parts from US.

C&R radiator
FWIW, here's some pictures of the radiator that just came in. It's a drop-in for E90 328i, at least for MY2011 anyway.
