AWD tire options

well winter is clearly here and im debating tire choices i have always ran my e46 with 17in all seasons for the winter I assumed i never needed winter tires because I have AWD well i have been reading alot about blizzaks and every review makes them seem like a godsend my question is, is it really worth it for me to go out and spend $700 on a new set of blizzaks for my e90. Now clearly I know the traction will be better w/ the blizzaks compared to my reg all seasons, but will it be that much better? I mean i have never gotten stuck in my e46 aside from the fact that my e46 was too low and just couldnt get through and we had a pretty bad winter in NJ last yr. Should I jsut rock out my current all seasons or go and get the winter tires?

Yes, winter tires (especially Blizzaks) have significantly more traction in snow and ice than all season tires. Its about more than just getting stuck...stopping is arguably more important!
