Good Deal from Paul Miller BMW in Wayne, NY??
Hey guys,
This is my first post here. I've been car shopping for a while and I've decided to get an 08 335i. I think I've found a decent deal from Paul Miller BMW in Wayne, NJ. If anyone has experience with this dealership please let me know as I've heard NJ dealers try to slip one under you. 08 335i 12k miles. Certified Jet Black/Gray Int - Premium, Cold Weather, Sport package with paddles. Internet Price= $32,495. I've talked them down to $31k confirmed and possible $30,500 pending. It's a corporate fleet vehicle per the carfax, no previous owners. The one thing that was odd was that the rims included were similar rims as the stock 17" 335xi wheels which aren't the 18" sport wheels. I told this to the dealer, they are swapping out for the 18" sport wheels from another 335i sport pkg with 15k miles. Credit app has been approved - super elite. I'm going to be test driving this car this Sat, July 3rd and if all goes well I'm ready to take the car. I've already quoted my insurance in prep. On Sat, if there are any problems with the car when I test drive, I can still walk away. My problem is that they'll likely try to hit me with registration + doc fees. Any word of advice when checking the car/test driving? Here's the link to the car. http://www.paulmillerbmw.com/pre_owned_stock_item/6240L The car with the wheels they'll replace with. http://www.paulmillerbmw.com/pre_owned_stock_item/6247L The estimate I got was: SALE $31000.00 NY tax 8.875% 2751.25 Doc. Fee 269.00 NY Mtr. Veh. Fees 259.00 (new plates/reg. w/lien) +__________ TOTAL $34279.25 Ouch, I was hoping to get around 33k but maybe I can try to lower to 34k. |

I'm dealing with Cathy Zundert, she's the internet sales rep. They seem to be better than Bayside, Bayside BMW in Queens wasn't negotiating their prices at all. So I just said f them. Going to test drive the 335i this weekend. I'm afraid I'm gonna fall in love with the car and lose all my negotiation power. Good thing I already negotiated a good chunk off!

Yes, it was a demo car but most of it should be covered by CPO except tires/wheels. So if any problems come up I still have until 2014.
I went yesterday to the dealership and I fell in LOVE. I couldn't resist and now I am a happy owner of an 08 335i Black Sapphire / Grey Prem, CWP, Sport. My fiance's brother was in the car test driving. Btw, Cathy (Sales Rep) lets you drive the car to 100 no problem. She says she drives like that all the time. I ended up getting another $500 bucks off the sticker price because they wouldn't lower doc fees. Ended up paying $30,500 and got tire/wheel insurance for $1100 cause NYC potholes suck!! Now the only problem is that I live in a neighborhood where not many people drive nice cars and I'm afraid the kids from the high school nearby keying my car which I've seen done to other cars. Advice? |
