If you mean update services, it might add new features. I did this a while back and added the Concierge button.

It works better if you terminate services first and then update.

I would advise against that suggestion. A friend who did it, had his services
terminated and then the re-enable option was not available for clicking and
he had to visit the dealer to get it fixed.
