Charge pipe question

If i get a charge pipe without a bov and a charge pipe with a bov, what will make and hold more power after tunning and other mods are all on the car?

Do you mean stock BOV vs. aftermarket BOV?
The stock BOV seems to be good up to around 14-15psi, which is just a basic tune. Above that I'd get a good aftermarket BOV like the Forge units.

If you get an aftermarket cp with forged dv's it'll hold boost just as we'll as a cp with a bov. Just personal preference.

Im gunna put an intake,ar catless downpipes, ets intercooler, and a ets cp with a cobb and have the car tunned on a dyno. So it wont make a difference getting a bov with the charge pipe or not ur saying? Just plug it?

your wording is confusing me, with those mods you don't NEED to upgrade your chargepipe but it is recommended, if you do upgrade the cp you either need to get forged dv's or a bov either way you'll be able to run the same amount of boost it just depends if you want that wooosh sound or not.

DVs or BOVs hold boost the same way. The major difference is the BOVs "Bloff OFF" in to the atmosphere for that woosh sound, while the diverter valves put the "Bloff OFF" back into the intake stream and make no sound.

Stock DVs if they are in good condition can hold 13-15PSI.

Most guys get BOVs because they like the sound.

As for the stock charge pipe they are hit and miss. Some leak, some pop off and break while other hold just fine. I find the weakest part of the stock setup under high boost is the stock DV connection at the charge pipe. Leaks like crazy usually.
