The car i am working on is 2006 323i. with a 3.73.

I just pick up a 2006 325i with a 3.23.

two problems
1)output shafts don't line up Different bolt sizes
2)the input shaft from 2006 325i is .5 of a inch longer

I tried to swap output shafts but it will not work the ones from the 325i are longer.

Please help with your thoughts.

1) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...4&l=c931173921 There is a difference between where you mount the diff.

2) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...4&l=e456ee55a2 3 inch long (325i)

3) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...4&l=8a81749b6a 2 1/4 inch long (323i)

The only way is to buy the part to replace the parts in it. It needs a new input bearing.
