My new modified exhaust!

I thought I'd share a few pics and videos of my new exhaust set up. I had a shop cut out my muffler and and run a straight pipe to a single inlet/duel outlet muffler tips. It sounds incredible over stock and was a bargain at only $165 in parts and labor. I discovered this mod through Scheerspeed's thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79689
I highly recommend it if you are looking for a more aggressive sound.

Enjoy:

Looks pretty good and sounds a lot better than stock. And for $165 it's probably one of the cheapest mods out there.

On Bear Creek Road in Orinda. It's off San Pablo Dam Road. Heading from Orinda to Richmond, you turn right. Its an awesome driving road.

It's really not though. No cabin drone, and when your not on it, it almost sounds stock. But when you stomp the gas between 2.5-5k it its LOUD

With a resonator delete you're gonna have some pretty serious drone and raspiness at the top end. Its not worth it to lose power. If anything kill the secondary cats.

I'm sure it sound pretty good with the secondary cats deleted but I'm sure it won't pass smog. But that's always a question in a California.

My '01 E46 330i passed smog ok when I had deleted the resonator, secondary cats and had an aftermarket exhaust. But I wouldn't recommend it. It was was so loud it was obnoxious and almost undriveable for the street.

All I did on my E90 here was cut out the muffler, and its the perfect amount of loud IMO. Pretty much sounds like an aftermarket exhaust with nothing more. Resonator is still in.

Well good to know. Yeah I didn't plan on deleting cats at all but I am now reconsidering what you did as oppose to doing a custom quad tip exhaust.
