Pic of the bad fit of my top speed exhaust
Hi Guys,
The top speed exhaust seems to be a bad fit, it touches on the right side and makes the car vibrate and a little noise outside..Any suggestions what i should change the bumper for? Pic: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_1O...it?usp=sharing Thanks |

You can bend the hangers, I had to do this for my drivers side tip. I used a small pipe to fit over the hanger to bend it. Mine looked exactly like that....... Only took a minute to fix.
Maybe it will work for you, if not for exhaust shop should be easy fix R

Yea bending the hangers is probably the easiest way to fix it. Just a little heat with a blow torch goes a long way. (I also like the pipe trick mentioned above). Good idea.

Top Speed exhaust isnt up to par with the A grade exhaust systems. Yea they might sound good and maybe save some weight but honestly if you were to just run catless downpipes with your secondary cats and muffler, I think you will get the sound you are after without having to spend $$$ on an exhaust. If that isnt enough then cut the secondaries off and run straight pipes back to the muffler. Now if that isnt loud enough for you you can cut the muffler off (which alot of people do from what I have read) and get a set of Vibrant quiet or ultra quiet resonators. There like 80 bucks for the set. I just would return that Top Speed exhaust just because I have had every one of my buddies with an M3 or a 335i tell me its really not a quality piece. They are in addison and which is about 12 min away from my office so I have seen there facility and have met the people there. I just personally dont think you should waist your money on an exhaust system especially one that isnt really tested by top speed. All of there exhaust systems seem to be the same and they do alot of different types of cars and are pretty new to the bmw industry. just my 2cents
