NEVER buy an interim system. NEVAR!!!!

Do it right the first time, buy once and spend less money in the long run. You've had the stock system this long, you'll be fine for another few months until you save up for what you really want.

personally, I love the 6to8, but there have been reports of noise in the E9x with them. I think it's avoidable with the MoBridge preamp, but run it at your own risk

360.3. alpine pxa-h800, or ps8 for me. Lately I have been leaning towards the alpine.. But the 360.3 is a strong contender, the remote is very functional and small.

the 360.THREE has nice features, for sure, but it's noisy, and not as refined as the PS8. The Alpine isn't even in the same category as the others. The H700 was amazing (if you used an Alpine head unit, otherwise you'd get "zipper" noises when changing the volume level) but good luck finding one.

Oh that's good. So the rumors of an exorbitant price tag were way off.

Anyways, OP, I replaced my Bit One.1 with an Alpine PXA-H800 and am very happy. The Alpine seems to have a much better S/N ratio. On paper and tests I've seen it's just a few dB, but on my setup, if I turned the gains on my amps up even just a hair, I'd get hiss from from my speakers with the Bit One. With the Alpine I can turn my gains way up with no hiss. My system is much louder with no noise with the Alpine. I don't use the imprint auto tune though. I wanted to try the PS8 with it's 8V outputs but just couldn't wait.

The H800 is a very good unit. We put one into another HiFi car in place of another processor and had good results, and I've tested it in my car and installed them into other vehicles. I like the SW a lot, but the H800 requirement is unfortunate. Works excellently with the DA2.

The PS8 looks very good on the bench, and from what I have been told it has the architecture that I would want. It's also pretty small, smaller than it looks in the photos. The SW UI is an open question.

The Mosconi SW is not as easy to use as the Alpine or the Helix, and the PS8 will probably be much easier to use as well. I suspect it will also scale much better on low-cost netbook screen resolution than those others.

18 months? mmmmm Offically for the record there has been a few units out in the field however the "Few" that have been in the field with indendent reviewers do not reside in the State of California and were very specific hand picked individuals becuase of their extensive knowledge of DSP's over many years and those units have only been in the field for a "short" period of time so that we may assure that we catch the bugs etc that may not of been found during in-house testing.

As far as the boards, being loaded in house and in production this week, Im not sure whom you spoke with as we have not released this information nor have we discussed in any capicity our production schedule as we have held extremely firm that we will not release this product in any way till it is right and no dates or prices will be announced until shortly before its release so we may ensure that when we do announce a date and a price, we meet that commitment.

The price of the PS8 has not been announced and/or relesed as of this date (8/18/2012). I can confirm the rumors of the exorbant price's we have heard ($1000.00+ MSRP) are simply not true.

We will be announcing the release date and the price this weekend at the Knowledgefest event in Dallas Texas to our attending dealer networks and we will make an offical public announcement next week to our worldwide dealer and international dealer database, followed by a internet announcement on our facebook and on our companies forums.

I hope this clears everything up.

Remember, Fred, leaders don't avoid commitments, they make them and then they keep them.

Sorry if it came off strong but the facts need to be kept clean and clear and in thus case there was comments undocumented or uniffical and we wanted to make sure there is no mis representations or misled information to the public whether accidental or intentional.

The product will be out and shipping when it is ready and not a moment sooner. There has been way to many DSP's rushed to the market over the years just to make some sales and we want to do our best to make it right so the first impressions are not of issues and problems but of happiness and sonic satisfaction with the product.

We hope this commitment to our customers with a quality product can be respected and the reason why we have not released the date or the price for the ps8.

In addition I have spoke personally with Jay and he has apologized for being more carefule on the exact wording of his comment and promises to clear things up in the coming days with no feelings of aggressiveness on our part in our reply.

Cheers and have a wonderful day!

I don't see it as an attitude, I see it as my misunderstanding of our conversation leading to him catching a LOT of crap from CERTAIN DEALERS, who then also turn around and spread further crap.

Fred cleared up my errors this past weekend, and I apologize for any misinformation I have distributed here based on our conversations. I am not privy to anything that isn't public already, I just have my ears in the right places to hear it.

I like the RUX. I didn't think it would fit, but I was able to modify a "sunglasses case" to hold it:

I like that it shows the voltage and temp. I think its temp is pretty much my amps' temp in my particular setup.

Anyone have experience with the Kicker Front Row? Looks like a watered down DSP compared to the others spoken about in this thread, but could be a good simple solution to get a 9/10's system.

Any recommendations that are easy DIY as far as tuning?
If you want auto-tune, consider the Pioneer DEH-80PRS or the DEX-99RS headunits. The auto-tune takes a few minutes to run and does a great job. Plus, you can go in, look at what parameters the auto-tune selected, and then tweak them further. You also have additional graphic EQ (16 bands for the 80PRS and 31 bands for the 99RS) per channel. I have owned the 800PRS and more recently the DEH-P01 (the JDM version of the 99RS) and find them to do a very good job with auto-tune.
