Coding

Still looking to get coding done but don't want to spend $500. I can't be the only one here that is motivated to get this baby nailed down. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Anyone interested in CODING? I've got a cable from Mike Benvo (BPMSport).

His offer is $200 if we can get 3 people or more to do it. That's cheaper than last go around!

Two hundred bucks gets you EVERYTHING (ALL coding features, except BMW Live, or Internet) -

Coding/Individualization
- EURO MDM mode! (E9x M3/ E6x M5/ E6x M6)
- Video In Motion (CIC iDrive models only)
- Remove BulbCheck errors (for HID/LED or aftermarket lighting retrofits)
- Windshield Wipers complete full cycle when ignition is shut off
- Remove Ignition/Door gong
- Remove iDrive [ACCEPT] screen
- Remove Seatbelt warning gong for Driver, Passenger or both Driver/Passenger (light remains on dash)
- Unlock doors when key is ejected
- A/C off when Auto Climate is pressed
- Auto Sunroof close when rain is detected
- Open/Close windows with Key FOB
- Open/Close Windows with Comfort Access
- Open/Close Convertible Top with Key FOB
- AutoFolding Mirrors
- Change Low Fuel Warning from 1/4 tank to 1/8 tank
- Remove CityLights (Amber sidemarkers)
- Enable FogLamps with High Beams
- Factory Angel Eye Brightness Coding! Make it whiter and brighter! (2009-13 only)
- Disable Window Safety Feature (allows windows to continue rolling up while door is open)
- Enable Digital Speedometer in OLED gauge cluster
- Enable/Disable auto-correction for Digital Speedometer/MPG
- Euro Hazard Lamps (double flash vs US single flash)
- Triple Blink turn signals
- Mirror Curb tilt
- Automatic Door Locking
- Auto Trunk/Tailgate Closing
- LCI retrofit
- Alarm retrofit
- Complimentary fault code reading and clearing
- Freeze frame on-board data (max rpm, times to redline, max speed, etc)

Descriptions here - http://bpmsport.com/Coding.pdf
If we get a few people its cheaper. That's why we're all friends.

Just watch the Tesla - Elon's video on Yahoo Finance. I remember the Top Gear test of the early model Tesla and they did indeed show it running out of power after a very short stent around their track.

Interesting stuff.

Thanks Parker. You're correct.

Those interested in coding, please coordinate amongst yourself and figure out a few time options for me. I'll work it into my schedule and we'll get you connected to Mike Benvo (BPMSport).

This is too tough to wrangle you all together. Just let me know. Please discuss - those of you interested.

I didnt realize that Top Gear did that. I thought it actually ran it out. But good on Tesla for tracking the press cars for this exact reason.

A quick Bimmerfest FYI

"We are excited to announce that Bimmerfest 2013 Sponsored by ESS Tuning will once again be held on May 18, 2013 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA! This is the same weekend as last year so come on out and help make Bimmerfest bigger and better in 2013!

Date / Time: May 18, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Entry Fee: $20 per BMW to park in the show (including all passengers free) OR $15 per person to walk in -- kids 12 and under are free"

Not sure I can make this year. Going in for Knee surgery on the 27th. Got to get the Clutch Leg fixed before spring so I can drive the 1M again

New car arrived...so the 335 went to the shop for some work. Should come out better than it went in with a couple of new parts.

Anybody ever have their bumper holes fixed without paying $700 to repaint the entire bumper? We had a guy in Hawaii that did work on all of the exotics and he was a master at doing bumper hole repairs with an airbrush technique for about $150, but all of the shops around here just want to re-spray the whole thing at full price.

I've driven the 200 for about 20 miles total. And the 335 has a $1300 repair bill...

The details on the 300 are pretty cool for the S package thing. Blacked out bits (including headlights), contrast stitching, suede inserts in the seats... I'll have to bring it to C&C on Saturday.
