Autoblog review of 335is, me likey how it states more boost

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/01/28/f...%28Autoblog%29

What I find striking is that there is 11+psi now, and with an overboost up to 14psi. This means that a modded 335i now basically can run those kinds of numbers with no harm, no foul. It doesnt state that anything is different based on the turbos and the drivetrain or anything else, just that basically the bmw performance kit of extra cooling is added. So really, it kind of is just more boost. I think that makes me feel much better going tuned

***I stole this off the general page but felt it had some merit over here with this information***

We all knew that these cars were detuned already and pushing it to 15-16 psi is safe on pump gas, but knowing that the 335is is pushing 14 from factory makes me even feel so much safer!!!

335is has all the extra cooling that the performance kit has, is that correct?

Yes. They also state something about a different oil cooler but maybe they are comparing to the no-oil-cooler cars...

This should relieve concern on the minds of some. To be honest, I really like this development especially with the recent addition of a tune.
