trickle charger

I am leaving my 335i coupe for three months garaged.

My SA told me to put a trickle charger on it, because the car is always on. Or disconnect the battery.

Can someone make a recommendation? Thanks

Also anything else I should do? I just had the 2 year service.

The best battery trickle charger I know of is the battery tender one. You can get it from any auto parts store and it is a must if you are going to leave the car for that long. Make sure you put something like sta-bil in the tank so the gas does not go south on you.

All good info, but make sure you drive the car for about 5 miles to make sure the treated fuel gets all the way to the fuel injectors. The treatment ratio is about 1 oz. Sta-bil for 1 gal. gas. Make sure you fill the tank full also to minimize condensation in the tank. Pump the tires up to close to max pressure to minimize flatspotting.

I left my car in the garage with a full tank and sta-bill fuel stabilizer in the tank. I also put the car on the flatstoppers made by race ramps and put the bmw battery tender on it. The car will sit like that for six months as I am in Iraq right now. I emailed bavauto and thats the recommendation that i received.
