Shreechy tweeters. Fix help please.

My '08 E93's hi-fi business radio door pillar tweeters have gone schreechy.

Bavauto diy video includes full removal of the door cards to access the tweeters. Is there a way I can only remove the tweeters only and disconnect them from(with enough slack) the mid range connector? If not can I cut and splice the wires? Solder needed or 10# of black tape OK?

Advice would be appreciated.

First of all reset the equalizer. Maybe the speakers are in good shape but you are saturating/clipping with poor eq settings.
