To be honest its the cost. If a Harley can peel down my street loud as heck and pass smog, I'm sure the 335 with an exhaust can too. I definitely think there is a BMW tax be applied on alot of systems-- though I respect the fact that vendors need to make money. I think that around 1K is a good price for me. Looks like theyre getting there!

Bikes doesn't have to pass emissions, only safety.

And cops discriminate.

You can be loud as hell in a Z28... or a mustang.

But you put a can that's 1/2 as loud on a civic, and you got yourself a ticket.

Bullshit even though the components are cheaper if the ps3 was selling at its original price it would still be at its original price. Why would a company take a loss if sales are up, which they aren't they are barely selling.

Figured I would toss in my $.02.
Reasons why I do not own an exhaust:
1) Warranty; with BMW dishonoring warranties, why risk mine with such an obvious modification.
2) Benefit; i.e. there is very little gain in simple piping changes, true gains come from eliminating cats, a move that is illegal, regardless of whether you pass inspection without them or not.
3) Emissions; visual inspections are not always a joke, and being that an exhaust is so obvious, it can lead to problems.
4) Noise Violations; Simply a hassle I don't need.
5) Price; given all the above problems its tough to get me to want to spend over a grand for one, not that I would buy one even if it was under $1000.
