Yes, not on. Deserved a punch in the face in the pits after that - not that that would be acceptable either of course.

It'll be interesting to see what action they take - some sort of red card is appropriate as it certainly appears deliberate / retaliatory.

Vettel on pole by half a second. Ninth pole of the season, waste of time really because if Hamilton gets even only a half decent start will get a great run with that Merc powerplant and kers and will breeze past Vettel down kemmel straight.

Thought the Maldonado/Hamilton incident hilarious!

Only a 5 place grid drop for Maldonado.

Sends the wrong message IMO - it was more serious than that!

Ferrari & mac can now encourage slow teams to take out vettel - very little punishment it seems.....

They have some history, after the incident at Monaco where Lewis took out Maldonado by going into the corner too hot. Lewis was being a bit hot-headed in the middle part of the season. I think today was Maldonados payback. Still unacceptable.

Lewis overtake of maldo was ok - if anything maldo was again at fault for not leaving room - it was when qualifying was on so race conditions.

Qualy 2 was OVER when maldo hit ham - no excuse for ANY contact. Not the same at all. Deliberate and unacceptable.

I wasn't talking about the overtake on the last corner, As you say Maldo never gave Hamilton room and they touched wheels. I'm talking about after they both crossed the line.
If you watch the replay you see Hamilton move left to block Maldo after the first corner, Maldo swerves to avoid and then passes Hamilton and then tries to block Hamilton but get's it all wrong. Yes I agree Maldo was out of order but Hamilton's not blameless.

But red lights were on and qualy over? Why was he trying to overtake? Maldos day was over. I feel Mansell (Lewis hater) has had a hand in this. If you look at the in Car footage from Lewis of the contact, there is only one to blame for the actual - serious "let's spoil his q3 motivated" - contact. 5 grid drop only is a joke by Mansell.

Thoroughy enjoyed the GP. Fantastic drives by Vettel, Button
& Schumacher.

Unlucky for Hamilton. KO'd for a short while.

Very sad to hear Martin Hines died this morning. He was instrumental in making Hamiltons career happen and so successfully. Multiple Superkart World champion and many times champion as a kart manufacturer.



A lovely man that Motorsport will miss greatly.

They wouldn't see it as a gaff. I've nothing against Hamilton, On his day Hamilton is unbeatable. But he does seem to see things with rose tinted glasses and should maybe look in the mirror sometimes.
