My delivery is in March.

I'm looking forward as I loved my GTS probably more than my previous GT3's because of the PDK and so this ticks everything I want in a car apart from the cost.

I'm now looking foward ...

I'm number 4 on the list at my local dealer and judging by this review its going to be very special and if the reviews keep coming like this I think the waiting list is going to get very long.

Not as if any GT3s have struggled to sell..

I wish I had 120 grand spare to get one

doubt you can get one on finance.

You will be able to get one on finance. But i would guesstimate even with a 20% deposit you would still be paying about £2k per month for the next 4 years.

I'm a manual person. Nothing can replace that involvement, but i would make a special exception for this car.

I doubt it but i hope this pushes the prices of 997.1 GT3's down into an affordable range

It's more likely to push them up due to their being no manual option in the new one.

I would love a shot of one of these but I know it would end in me running out of talent and shitting myself as that's what happened in the 997.2 GT3. It was scary biscuits.

Maybe.

I think in reality it with have a negligible effect on prices. I think the current GT3 will continue on a similar depreciation curve to the 996 GT3 - fairly slow.

No. Scoot became a legend when he went out to buy a "cheap" £30k hatchback and came back with a £120k race car. It was the ultimate in budget creep.

This car has the nicest wheels I've ever seen! Lovely....and even though it's hardcore, I really think I could live with one!

Nice purchase Scoot

A friend of mine who has the current GT3 said that this is the reason why he will not buy the new one.

I think Porsche should at least offer a manual transmission as an option. Many track enthusiasts - and the GT3 is made for them in the end - think the same way.

This counts among the things I don't quite get about Porsche - they're supposed to sell sports cars but then fall short on this in a few rather important points. Same for the new 991 with a PDK that upshifts even in manual mode. Real failure.

I'm sure it will rattle a lot, Andrew.

If it's not the car it will be your fillings.
