Costco doesn't sell the BMW-LL01 approved 0w40 though.
O'Reily/Autozone frequently have oil change specials. 5 qts + filter for ~$30. Just pick up a filter for another car or something.

BMW oil is 5w30. Other brands you want to look for the BMW-LL01 approval. Not all 5w30 is the same viscosity.
But if you're changing every 5000mi or so, you probably wont have any problems with any good synthetic.

i don't think costco sells mobil1 0w-40. I tried walmart which they sell by the quart for 6.97. But I am hoping someone finds a deal or link to some place

I have it changed every 7500 miles and still use LL-01 from Walmart Mobil-1 0W-40...cheapest in store...but I always have to check 3 to 4 stores or stock up...
autozone pepboys oriley have the same grade for $2 more regular price...check their webs for monthly special |
