Well i just did a muffler delete on thursday. the rest of thursday and all day today the car was fine after this mod, but when i got off work around 6 as i drove home my car overheated. Could the muffler delete be the cause of this???

wow i never heard of that before with a muffler delete. Do you have sound clips of your muffler delete. I would like to hear it since there isn't too many 335i e92 out there that have and I wanted to do it too.

No way in hell that is what's causing your car to overheat. If anything, it should cause your engine to run a very small fraction cooler because of allowing hot exhaust gases to escape faster but, nothing even noticeable.

Has to be a coincidence. Have you had any other work done to the car even remotely recent? Coolant flush or anything? What has the ambient temp been like over there?

i tried to youtube for 335i and can't find any. Only found one person this site that posted up a video and it sounded amazing. How is the drone like what most people are saying is it bearable? And how about that backpressure SH#%. Is that bad or good for the car? I am still confused some ppl say you need it others say no.

that sucks. look around for a dealer, see what the issue is. check your coolant level as well (make sure the motor is has been sitting overnight). what error did you get?

+1 Cant be caused by the muffler delete, imo. Make sure you plugged the vacuum line for the exhaust flap with something so the cars not throwing the code, before you go into the dealer.

what happens with that vacuum line for the exhaust flap when you remove stock mufflers and install lets say remus race mufflers or any other aftermarket rear mufflers? its just becomes unusable?

Yeah pretty much. It doesnt affect your car at all though. As long as you plug it(i used a screw and a ziptie) and tuck it away.. I believe it throws a code when not plugged, same one as "golf tee mod"(disconnecting the plug in the trunk).

I believe its purpose is to tone down the noise on cold start-ups, and i cant remember its other function..

does this not somehow related with http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=382757 as i know that hose line is made to create some backpresure for turbos...

Performance: Reduced backpressure by 62% over OEM (its about remus race)
