New ECS DCI

Stumbled across it on their website, they now have an open version of their carbon fiber intake. Nice clean layout.

Super nice, but a little too late. The times of the stock inlet and intake setup is over. Its all about aftermarket inlets now. This does use the stock inlets right?

Yes, so it should still work with VTT and RB inlets.

Thats wat i thought, but thats only adding more connections, and make the total length even longer.

Not everyone wants to use inlets and relocate the vacumm canisters etc...

They're pretty, but I don't see how much, if any, gain they'd provide compared to regular DCI's. The $200+ difference vs. DCI's can be much better used toward inlets.

. Yes that is completely true, but if these would of been on sale before new inlets, i believe they would of been a big hit. Theyre still a great piece of work from ecs tuning. Love the detail work. I wish they would make the carbon fiber fender flares for our car like the ones for the VW gti tho. Ihave their Carbon fiber lip and carbon fiber strut bar and its great quality.

Lol... Ok.... Just dont see anyone wanting to use the pancaked stock inlets vs the new aftermarket ones after seeing how they outflow and outperform... Especially how some are under 300$... but i guess i was wrong. Btw, I wasnt trying to bash anybody, guess this is a cool option for those that do want to stick with factory inlets.

+1. I love the carbon fiber look in general. But I could care if the intakes have them, and what's more, these appear to add nothing vs. the ~$100 DCIs I already have. I'd still opt for the BMS if I were doing it over again.

Believe it or not, not everybody wants to relocate the coolant reservoir, vacuum canisters, causing potential issues with leaking coolant, vacuum leak etc.

I'd only go inlets with aftermarket turbos. But with all the reliability issues with hybrids, I'd probably go single instead, so no need for inlets.

Also, not everybody is trying to make 500whp on stock turbos...

RB and VTT inlets allow retention of the factory air box and intake position.
I got RB's inlets in the group buy and had them installed a few weeks ago. I retained my factory-location $95 BMS DCI's

Honestly, I hate how the BMS DCI exposes the intake manifold, I think it looks ugly. I like how aFe covers it up, which is why I paid the xtra money. It looks like this is inbetween the two in terms of coverage

I actually like how dci exposes everything - I can access more things more quickly when working on the car, which saves me time.

Pretty but useless... $90 BMS DCI works just as well.

Something like the BMS DCI is the cheapest route to go but for some it leaves much to be desired for aesthetic purposes.

That being said, I went with the ETS DCI since it was happy medium of form and function and still priced considerably less then other options like Injen and AFE.

If a pop my engine more then once a year for someone else to look at, I'd probably still be lying but yea CF is definitely cool. ECS can send me one for free and i'll rock it.
