Tire pressure psi

The OBC (non-iDrive) has an options to switch units (e.g. kPa, PSI, etc), presumably for tire pressure...yet this value is not displayed anywhere (not even when low tire is triggered. Is there a way to code the BC to view this data?

Thanks buddy,

It seemed clearly designed to have a readout. There is a picture of a tire and a psi/bar/ipa option. Could it have been abandoned in development?

What about auswertung_b_druck. What is that?

I don't know what it is, but you can try to active this, you won't brick anything, don't worry.

Could it be an option for including recommended tyre pressures?

As far as I was away the TPM doesn't measure pressure it looks a changes in wheel speed and can detect if a tyre is low. Or maybe I've been misinformed...

TPMS- direct tire pressure sensing
FTM-based on rotational speed.

Apologies, I was referring to indirect TPMS which was a precurser to FTM

I dont know much about direct TPMS as I hear it never worked properly so was ditched in favour of FTM.

auswertung = evaluation; I'm still not sure what that value means

I too would love a direct psi readout but I don't think anyone has ever found a way to make that happen.

But how would get a display of each tire pressure on the cluster? Far as I have been reading there isn't much editing of what can shown in the cluster.

You can show v-speed, instant mpg, headlight sensitivity settings, all of which are hidden by default. Why not psi

Not saying that it cannot be done but the thing that I'm trying to point out where to display such info off four tires. Im assuming that this is for a non iDrive car btw. Those example you made doesn't come close to displaying all 4 tires psi. That said it would be nice to know of info as this. Probably a read out like this LF PSI = 32 " something like that.

I personally hate that a pressure sensor goes off but won't tell which tire.

I have it coded on my F25, I have not looked on my E93 for it, you would probably need idrive and you definitely need TPMS, the rotational sensor don't have the data.

This is was it is on the F25 to turn it on to show pressure and temperature for each tire.

I know when I actually had a low tire once there was a picture of the car with an arrow to the offending tire. Could probably squeeze psi in there somewhere.

Cripes - I rented a Chevy Cruze last week, and it had the pressure of all 4 tires displayed on the dash.

My brothers '02 300M shows the pressure of all 5 tires so I'd be amazed if it isn't possible at all.

That's a great idea, too bad BMW didn't even fit a spare.

My last company car had TPMS on the road wheels but not the spare, that's kind of dumb if you think about it.
