A condo would be hard to sell - but easy to rent out.

However, I agree with the above post. Make sure you have a garage. Adding one after the fact is a pain in the ass. Ask me how I know.

yes, condos aren't ideal, but remember, ANYTHING in Ashburn can be rented quickly and you receive a tax break for still owning it.

Go for a Townhouse with at least a one car garage.

No, mine is on hold indefinitely... child #2 on the way, so I am building college funds right now. Maybe by 2020! Ha....

Lol I totally forgot child number 2 was on it's way. Yeah college fund more important than a garage.

Most people who have families already from what I've seen or families wanting to start a family are usually looking for more than 2 bedrooms.

I could be wrong but that's what I've seen. As far as renting them out you shouldn't have any issues.

I bought a 2br/2ba 2-car garage townhome in Merrifield. I'm young and single. I think it's an ideal place for a young couple with a guest room/with a baby.
I am SO happy I went for the 2-car garage. For now, I can either rent out the guest room or save it for family/friends visiting.
