The white smoke is gone now.

My brother thinks it's the injectors.

Looks like incomplete combustion or running too rich (not enough air for the amount of fuel). I see this all the time on older trucks before they warm up. My guess is that it's not a serious mechanical issue but rather a sensor or possibly even fuel quality issue. Engine sounded normal to me, is always noisier when cold.

like torque stated above usually when you see WHITE smoke there either a leak in the block and or, radiator coolant is getting in the mix of the engine , the PROGNOSIS is NOT GOOD!!! better get this checked pronto amigo or otherwise ADIOS to your engine!!

It's being checked, I drove it inmediately to my dealer.

They tested the injectors, they are OK. Also checked for fault codes...Nothing!?
The car did not lose any water/coolant or oil, all levels are OK.

The white smoke is gone but the engine is still very loud as you can hear in the second vid.

Turbo? EGR?

From video 1 it sounds like the dpf is removed, ( spooling turbos way too readily!) is this the case?

Have you checked the top breather hose assembly? There is a valve that can get stuck which leads to pressure in the head which in turn forces oil though the seals

If you have the dpf removed , do you have the ECU modified to stop the regen taking place ?? .. this was my initial thought as it appears it's injecting extra diesel in and would also explain why it goes away after a while

Yes the regeneration has been disabled by the tuner.

We have already found a few things.

* Intake Collector fits very though to the swirl flaps. Leaking oil there too. We have lids removed, and placed new gaskets. No sound coming from there, although we had hoped that a bit.

* Sound increases when you take off the oil plug.

* In the cylinder we found pieces of a leaf of a tree found (valve cover is not yet removed).

* The white smoke is oil, not water as our first thought was. Also a lot of oil found down at the downpipe. We will disassemble the exhaust, and turbos, to see if the oil comes from the turbo's or engine.

More news tomorrow.

Still couldn't locate the Oil leak....or the noise.
There was some oil on the downpipe and the turbo's as well.
The turbo's are fine..
The injectors are fine..
Crankcase breather is OK..

Still looking what the problem might be.

Do you have access to a Bavarian Technic tool? If so you could check the health and balance of the injectors.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=27

Might give some insight into what cylinder(s) might be having a problem...
