Pre-Lci e90 Mtech Rear Bumper HELP
i really want to pull the trigger. i know the pricing is relatively similar for modmy3.com & jgmods, but my only concern is the fitment. i'm hoping anyone that has bought the e90 mtech rear bumper from either vendor can let me know if there were any issues. are the guides that are mentioned really necessary (i've just got oem non-mtech bumper right now) or will it be okay? thanks in advance

I would really like to hear the reviews on this. Someone recently kicked or damaged my mtech rear bumper and I would like to get a rep and spend the excess insurance on a cf diffuser and spoiler. Thanks guys.

Did a little research:
Modmy3 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...dmy3.com+mtech Can't find info on JGMods, looks like their thread on this item is inactive and I don't see it on their website.

Mine is JGMods and I have been very happy with it. I don't remember seeing any mold seams when I got mine, but I also had some friends at a body shop do the paint on it since my car was in for a parking lot hit (for some reason my car is invisible to people driving Jeeps and pickups...). As far as I know, the only modification was to fit the performance diffuser (but I think that is required on the OE ones as well -- there is a post with BMW's instructions somewhere).
Anyway, here is a pic from the day I got it back from the body shop.

Good question! I had forgotten about buying the guides, but I did buy OEM (same time I bought the diffuser). Mine is pre-LCI, but I don't remember if there is a difference in the pre-LCI and LCI rear bumper (I think the difference is just in the deck lid and tail lamps ).

Sorry -- I may have rambled on a bit. I did get the guides. I think you can do it without them but it won't be as secure, but it has been a while since I got mine so I don't remember all the details.

They may have changed them as well since I got mine, but here's the latest thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=700462 (I saw they are still using my car in it )

I noticed your diffuser from your garage, and I thought that one only fits LCI models, can you tell me where did you buy it since I really like the way it looks. Is there any mod needed to fit it into pre-LCI rear bumper? |

The diffuser kit came from the dealer -- don't have the part numbers handy at the moment, but a little modifying was required (per BMW's instructions).
Hope this helps!

I just got a m-tech rear put on my car from Modmy3. I got a LCI rear and i have a Pre-lci. The body shop just cut two tabs to make it fit on the exhisting rear guides, i would say fitment is a 9.5 out of 10. Im really happy the way it came out, if i have time tonight ill post pics.
