Get your Ctek 3300 for only $40.49 at Canadian tire GTA

So I noticed this week Canadian tire had the CTEK 3300 charger. In case some of you guys don't know this charges our AGM or lead batteries safely. Some people even say the OEM BMW charger is just a rebadged Ctek.

Anyhoo the only places that has his in Toronto is Markham north location has 2 left and the east one by the 407 had 5 (be careful 2 of the packages looked beat up)

Good deal considering they go for sale on amazon for $111.99, plus shipping

My mother drives less then 20km everyday to work and I found her battery was struggling a bit and that's what the reason I got it

Just looking out for my peeps

EDIT: ohh and it says it comes with a 5 year warranty through Canadian tire... Sick

Thanks for the heads up - just grabbed one!

Still two left at Leslie & Lakeshore CT (in the glass case on the other side from the rest of the chargers).

BMW also sells (or used to sell) the Battery Tender Plus (rebadged). Does the same for AGM or lead batteries, except won't desufate a totally dead battery. But, some say that the CTEK desulfation doesn't work well, anyways. Battery Tenders go on sale frequently at CT ( CT sells the the BT junior, which is half the amperage of the BT Plus, you can buy the BT Plus at any Interstate Battery distributor in Canada).

I thought E90's have gel batteries, am I mistaken or working off of old info? I've got a 2007 E90 328i and drive 120km daily during the week. Battery should be charging nicely, but thought I'd top it up one weekend with the CTEK 3300. Nice feature of this charger is that it can be left connected to the battery if going on vacay for a few weeks without overcharging.

There are lots of threads on this, but most E90 will be plain old maint free flooded lead acid (non-AGM) so leave the CTEK on its default charge program. Those cars that require it (eg, coded with engine start/stop feature) would have been upgraded from the factory with AGM batteries.

You can tell which you have by the part no. (eg, p/n 61 21 7 586 962 is the E90 90AH Exide flooded lead acid battery) or most easily just by looking at the battery case colour. White = standard non-AGM flooded lead acid; Black = AGM.

They had two left... I bought one, so ONE left now. LOL

Are these things good for our cars? I think my 335i in storage mode is completely dead battery... anything I need to do before I connect this thing? Do I have to reprogram my car?

If anybody finds a location that has them in stock please let me know.

I prefer, brampton, mississauga, vaughan, bolton - but if not I'll just go wherever.

I checked out my 2 local CT's today and they were outta stock.

I'm going to crappy tire tomorrow I can get them to check the computers but I have a feeling their computer systems are useless since when they checked for me it only showed the locations above that had them and other users have found other locations with them.

I will report back
