Does the muffler delete mod void the BMW warranty? I really want to do it but I still have several years of warranty left that I want to keep. I talked to two BMW service managers today who said it would probably void it but weren't 100% sure.

I'd leave the cats intact. They still said it would void the warranty. Does anyone have experience taking muffler delete cars for service, particularly for check engine warnings?

decreases more because of the extra gas you give it to hear that exhaust note

Was gonna ask about back pressure, then found this article.

http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/html_pr...torquemyth.htm

So i guess it depends on the dealer you bring your car in for maintenance later on.

Ebay! Or if your shop sells magnaflow just give them a heads up and have them order you one.

do tip sized make a difference on how loud the exhaust note sounds. i heard that smaller pipes and tips make it louder and bigger tips make it well, less ricey i guess ?

or will you not notice a difference with tips alone? i just ask this because i heard a friends with 3 inch tips same set up as mine and it sounded higher pitched while mine sounded w. 3.5'' tips more throaty.. its hard to explain.

I just had mine done a few hours ago. I paid $100 for everything. It sounds great except for the whistle at hard acceleration. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I have heard of checking the welds. I am wondering if it's the rush of exhaust gas against the split before the end of the tips. I'm thinking of getting a single exhaust tip instead of a split. I wonder if that will get rid of the sound.

I got pulled over by a cop, who thought that I was gunning it. I explained to him that I wasn't and that he can't write me a ticket anyways even if I did, because there is reckless driving and speeding thats it. I wasn't driving recklessly and I wasn't speeding so suck my nuts copper. Lol..

Today I downshifted while pulling into town and a cop flipped a U turn so I bugged out. He must have thought that I floored it through town...

So be careful, people are dumb.

I'm thinking of putting the stock exhaust back on and wait until I get the BMW performance exhaust. It's really loud. The last thing I need is a ticket. Also that funny air sound mixed into the exhaust sound is getting annoying.

i have these, ive been recommending everyone to theses since i absoluetly love them. they fill in the bumper cut out perfectly and makes the rear look very aggressive. i just bought another set to do quads here in a couple weeks.

they are dirt cheap but very good quality
