E92 gearbox step auto issues
Hi guys, my tranny has started giving me errors and limp modes coupled with some slipping and hard shifting, the errors were ratio monitoring 4-5, I have done the oil change previously as well as resetting adaptions, learning factors and done the adaption drive already, looks like it is cooked and just a matter of time now,
What I wanted to know, will a post 07tranny be a straight fit? Mine is currently pre 07 and I found one from a 2010 model, also will anything need to be programmed or coded to accept the new tranny or will it just bolt straight on and run happily? Lastly, mine didn't come with paddles shifters but the box from the donor car does have paddles, will I be running into trouble on side or will I have to code out anything? Just for interest sake, I have a N54 with jb4, my first gearbox limp mode came 2 days after flashing the BMS pump flash onto the car, the oil change on the box seems to have worked since then and a change to another pump flash from wedge seems to have resurfaced the issue? Is it coincidence or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help... |

Have you had your software updated recently? I would start there...
