Could you run 2 USB flash drives with iDrive??

I have an '07 with iDrive and a usb port. I've been using my 16GB flash drive loaded with music, and it pretty much stays plugged in all the time. My question is, since this is USB 2.0 interface, is it possible to run more than one flash drive via a USB splitter cable? I'd like to keep my 16GB plugged in at all times, but I want to be able to plug in another one for daily podcasts and whatnot.
Has anyone tried this?

Impossible with 6FL option which you have in your vehicle.
No USB hub support available.
So you can have only one USB device connected to your USB port at a time.

Perfectly safe. Don't worry.

OP: Only 1 usb stick/drive at a time.
