Could someone please post a playlist sample?

I'm looking for an example of a playlist that works. I've never used them with the 6FL, and the couple of times I tried they didn't work. And what file extension are you using? I've tried '.PLS' and '.WPL'.

Thanks

Can you display the contents of one for me? I think I did create a M3U too, but no luck playing.

Each line has to start with "/", e.g.,

/Acoustic Alchemy/The New Edge/01 Oceans Apart.mp3

Unicode file names work too, as long as the m3u file is saved as UTF8 (no BOM)

you can easily make them with any version of Winamp.

I use version 2.81 and it's very easy.

If you do not want to install Winamp just to make playlists for your BMW, try this freeware program: Winamp Playlist Creator found at http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime...-Creator.shtml

Note that under Settings/Playlist Details/Saving Playlist Entries, you should choose to save the entries as "Absolute, without drive"

When I save as M3U with Winamp, I get the following format - and it doesn't work (even if I take out the "G:"):

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:3880,Steve Gibson with Leo Laporte - Security Now 100: Your Questio
G:\Podcasts\Security Now!\Security Now 100_ Your Questions, St.mp3

My M3U looks like this (and works):

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:1470,Vintage Radio - Frontier Gentleman -- Lifes a Gamble
\Music\Vintage Radio\Vintage Radio - Frontier Gentleman -- Lifes a Gamble.mp3

You need to remove the "G:" and be sure that the remaining path is the exact path on your USB drive.
