Just Ordered! Good Deal?
Hey Guys,
Just ordered my car. I checked all the numbers and things seem pretty good. Think I got a good deal? Here are the numbers and car I ordered... 2009 335 Coupe - 6MT, Black Saphire, Saddle Brown, Gray Poplar Cold Weather, Premium, M Sport (Figured in at $3,500 by dealer) Nav, Comfort Access, Logic 7, iPod Interface, Smartphone Integration, Sirius Radio MSRP: 55245 Selling Price: 52249 Residual: 59% Money Factor: .00205 (I think I may be able to get this lower) Term: 36 Months, 12K Miles Cap Cost Reduction: 3500 All taxes, first month fee, etc to be paid on delivery... Monthly Payment: $615 I know most would say don't put money down on a lease by I'd rather keep the payment a little better under control. I used a lease calculator and came within 30 cents of the dealers price so I think it looks good. What do you guys think? -Evangelo2 |

If you're happy with the deal, that's all that really matters. How much over invoice did you wind up paying? Did you check that figure out?

Came out to about 800 over invoice (dealer listed), but looks more like 1800 over invoioce on edmunds (which is hard to judge since I don't have the exact numbers for MSport). I think that's decent for a order and not taking one off the lot. I got it around 350 dollars cheaper than what edmunds says others are paying in my area (don't know how accurate that is though).

you can find the MSRP for Msport here,
http://www.bimmerfile.com/wp-content...2/msportus.pdf invoice for msport may be around 2960 (.91x3250) dealer invoice usually including MACO fee. |

Thanks NT! I have to call my SA back. If the M Sport on the 335 is 3250 MSRP, then they overcharged me by 250. According to that pdf, the M Sport comes with Rear Park Distance. Is that accurate? Never heard that it came with that before, only that you could order it. If so, then it's a nice bonus

I (and many others on the board) are paying around $500 > invoice (including MACO - which varies state to state). Get the precise numbers so you can really see what you're paying before you put the order in. I'll bet you can do better than you did.

Phil,
I have precise numbers, but which invoice prices do I look at (Edmunds or Dealer Listed)? I have to search around here for a dealer invoice price list. The MACO fee is 300 dollars for me here in NY and there is not training (or whatever they call it) fee like some others here have mentioned. All my options are listed above. Does it generally look out of line to you Phil? I know the finance math adds up because the dealers price came to within 30 cents of my calculated price. -Evangelo2 |

I was wondering how the payment was so low then saw your paying all taxes up front. Looks like a decent deal just check the invoice price to be sure your getting the best deal.

Hey Phil, would you trust the actuall dealer invoice? I had the SA bring me the entire printout of my financials they were running (which I was told I could not take out of the dealership with me) and the computer system printout for the car order with the listed invoice prices + destination handling + MACO. You think I can trust their computer printout? If I can trust there computer system then the only thing that is a gray area is the M Sport (which was slightly cleared up in this thread for me, thanks guys!). I am going to call my SA back later this week and have the M Sport pricing corrected. -Evangelo2 |

Reworked My Deal A Little
Just reworked my deal a little... Same specs as before...
2009 335 Coupe - 6MT, Black Saphire, Saddle Brown, Gray Poplar Cold Weather, Premium, M Sport, Nav, Comfort Access, Logic 7, iPod Interface, Smartphone Integration, Sirius Radio MSRP: 54840 Selling Price: 51600 Residual: 59% Money Factor: .00205 (I think I may be able to get this lower) Term: 36 Months, 12K Miles Cap Cost Reduction: 3500 All taxes, first month fee, etc to be paid on delivery... Monthly Payment: $599 My order is now in the BMW system, and I can verify that you CAN order the cold weather package with the M Sport but you don't get the heeted stearing wheel (and the price showed up 150 dollars cheaper than the regular cold weather package). I am now pretty happy with my deal -Evangelo2 -Evangelo2 |

Wow! that's news for me... So, we don't get heated steering wheel if we get Msport pkg??? Then if I don't need the headlight washer then I can skip the Cold PKg and just get heated seats right? |

1 more thing guys, it appears that as of now there is not a 19" m sport wheel available for order in the USA . My SA will notify me if that changes.

How did your lease payments come out to $599/mo? I ran your no.s through the edmunds lease calculator <http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm> and its coming out to 679.91. I am about to pull the trigger on a lease myself but when calculating it out myself and running the no.s through several lease calc.s I am getting diff. results. Am I missing something? My No.s: MSRP: $49,725 Selling Price: $47,015 (In your opinion is this a good deal? I believe it is $500 above invoice) Residual: 59% MF: .0025 (can I work this down? what is the std?) Term: 36mo, 12k/yr Tax will be paid up front Thanks in advance for your help |

http://www.bankrate.com/brm/cgi-bin/lease.asp I am also paying the taxes up front so make sure you put 0% in for the tax rate when calculating since this portion will be paid up front and not icnluded in your financing/monthly payment calculation. I also believe that the default BMW money factor for a E92 come sout to 4.92% so use that as your interest rate in the calculation (or convert whatever money factor you get to a interest rate). I ended up coming in at 600 over invoice which Im fine with. I would like a lower interest rate, especially since my credit is top notch but this is the standard BMW rate so I guess Ill take it since they give me a good deal on everything else. I also would have loved to get the loyalty cash back but I spent the last 3 years in a G35 oupe 6MT after my 2002 M3 (they told me you had to have been with them on a lease for within the past 6 moonths to get the loyalty cash back). -Evangelo2 |

PS. everone, looks like the 19" M Sport wheels will be available. When I looka t the BMW system and see my order, both the 18" and 19" wheel options are listed under M Sport Package under my production number. Ill be calling my SA tomorrow to have him add it in. I will also pay the depreciation fee of the 19" option upfront so my monthly payment shouldn't change but my cap cost reduction payment will go up slightly (approximately 41% of the 19" wheel MSRP - the selling price I get ).
