Need help negotiating
I want to place an order for two cars. Right now I am at invoice plus: 180 training fee, $500 macco fee, and $1000. Technically this would be 1,500 over invoice. My goal is 1k over invoice on each car; what do you think?
My dealer currently considers this 1k over invoice because they are including $500 macco in their invoice. To me this is really $1500 over invoice...

MACO is a part of their invoice, so this really is a 1k-over deal... but you can do better!
If you are picking from the dealer's inventory you shouldn't be paying more than invoice. If they are ordering the vehicle for you, try invoice + $500. Good luck. |

^ agreed. Be sure to shop around. I've been able to get deals at just $200-300 above invoice around here. It could be dependent on the market but you should definitely shop around. One thing to keep in mind is that if you're not saving that much (i.e. $50-100 or so) then you should consider buying from the one closest to your place. The reason is the convenience that will pay off down the road as well as the ability to get loaners (some dealers don't loan out cars if you didn't buy from them).

So far the best I have found locally is invoice + about $900. That would be on an ordered car. The one thing I really do not understand about my local dealer was, my salesman goes our macco used to be $500 but a few years back, BMW changed out macco to $300 but we add on another $200 to keep it the same, so our macco is really $500. Is this legit?
Also, we did get a car from colorado 3 years back and they are willing to order a car for us for invoice + $500, but then I would have to make a vacation out of it and drive 1800 miles back to FL. BTW, when I got my 135i 3 weeks ago, I sent out a fax to about 10 dealerships with an offer of invoice + $500 and I heard back from a couple dealers and they said no way.

I am in south florida. I am considering going with my CO dealership and picking the car up at the performance delivery in SC. But I would rather get the same deal locally in south fl ($500 over invoice).
