Last day for 0.9%

So here's my deal. I am about to purchase a new car on Tuesdsay 3/31 before the deadline 3/31/2009 for the 0.9% financing.

Here is what I am thinking of ordering:

2009 328XI Manual
-CWP
-PP
-NAV
-Comfort Access
-Park Distance
-Xeon
-Logic7 Sound upgrade
-iPod and USB adapter

MSRP: 46,850
Invoice: 43,065

I want to get the 0.9 financing but because I have to order the car, I won't get the two free payments covered by BMW they are offering this month.

Prior to me looking for a new car the last few weeks, I would have thought that I could have found this car out on someone's lot. But there does't seem to be many manual transmissions available.

Does anyone have a sense of what I should be asking for with this car?

Thanks for any feedback.

JP

0.9 %

If I price out the 335XI with the same options it will cost 51,950. That seems steep to me.

Holy crap...I got a 335i w/premium, sport, comfort access, cold weather and Sirius for $44k out the door. I would offer invoice, and not pay more than $500 over.

but...

But if you took your 335i and added the options that I want, it would cost 50K for the same car. Would you play 50K for your car?

This is why i would be happy to own a 328XI with all the options and still pay only 44K

-NAV
-Park Distance
-Xeon
-Logic7 Sound upgrade
-iPod and USB adapter

Does the 0.9% only end for new cars? I thought the 0.9% for CPO was good until April 31.

Am I right?

I am in similar boat. I wonder if the 0.9APR will continue next month or near future? Anybody know?
If you order the car tomorrow, why won't you get the 2 free payments? Did your dealer tell you that?

yes, the dealer said if I had to order the car I wouldn't get the 2 free payments from BWM as part of this months program. They were also going to pay off my last two months of my lease ($1,100) but now that I am ordering the car so I have to wait the two months, so I will have to finish my lease and lose out of the four payments equalling about $3,100.

It seems like I am being penalized for ordering the car. It isn't my fault the car isn't available.

does anyone have a suggestion for a price I can expect to pay?

everyone says that, but these guys are ruthless. I hate this part of the car buying process. Not fun at all! Takes away from the excitement of buying a new car.

Don't make the same mistake I did, if you value performance don't get the 328. Just spring for the 335 and don't regret it.

To each their own, but 328 felt ridiculously slow and sluggish compared to my A4 2.0 Turbo 200 hp ;-) so i ordered a 335... it literaly took me 30 seconds of driving a 328 to understand that the 335 is the way to go.

But again, to each their own.

Good luck jpx2610!!!

p.s. don't forget, you can always flip out and walk out and see if the sales person stops you... If they don't, take your business somewhere else. I know it's easy to say when there are nearly 10 dealerships within 1 hour drive...

bullet

Well I bit the bullent and went for 500 over invoice. Got it for 600 and car mats.

I am sure they are laughing at me all the way to the bank. I did however get the 0.9 percent financing, which was a big deal to me.

Sorry guys, can't spring for the 335. I am very happy with the 328. I came from an A4 3.2 and it sucks. I hated the car the first month I had it.

I will be happy with the 328 and all my options I wanted. This is going ot be the car that I want to own for a while.

Thanks for the help.

They aren't laughing, they are thankful, as their kids will have something to eat tomorrow.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Waiting is tough, mine is on the ship right now ;-)

328 is slower but its still got enough power for daily driving in style
