What wheels do you have? I ran 5mm front and 12mm rear with 19" style 313 and a drop on Ohlins (not sure how far down from stock). I also had 235/265 Michelin PSS which are a lot wider than the stock RFT.

I did with the softer Ohlins rear springs at first, but then when I switched to the stiffer swift springs it went away. I think a 10 in the rear would be safer.

Would it be a noticeable difference?

I guess it really depends on the tires, spring rates, drop, etc. When I was rubbing, it was VERY minimal, so yeah I think the 2mm would have helped me.

I put 15mm on the rear. Haven't done the front yet. 225 wheels with the stock size runflats (255/30/19 I believe) Here are before and after pics: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1079256

Pics of the car with the spacers:

Where in NY im on Long Island and have only seen 2 IS's on the road since I purchased in June. They are like unicorns

Received 2 compliments on the car on Sunday. One guy honked at me at a red light and gestured to lower my window. He proceeded to tell me the car was gorgeous and he loves the exhaust sound of an IS. I said thanks for noticing and that no one seems to know what an IS is. Another guy was at the car wash and said wow you usually dont see too many IS's and said he really liked the car. Probably the 8th overall compliment on the car by random strangers since I purchased, but first 2 in one day!

Oh and during the summer I was at a red light and there was an accident on the other side of the street which had a few cops standing around. I noticed one cop walking towards my car and I said well I guess im finally getting a ticket (No front license plate...im not drilling holes in my bumper) BUT he simply said "nice wheels" and then walked away. Pretty cool

For what its worth, I sent in another request for a 335IS specific section. The last time I asked I never heard back. Figured it was worth another try.

It fell into the Admin ignore hole - Admins are probably - "Here you 335is M3 WannaBee guys go again" as there is more "no love" on these boards for 335isers than there is "love."

But squeaky wheel gets the grease...maybe they will...

You have the set up path I going down - looks like mostly FBO. Putting her in the shop next month for (tax return already spent) for the Wag FMIC, M3 Control Arms, ER CP.

If I can throw some questions at you -
Did you do the Turbosmart BPV and immediately notice any torque increase?
How do you like the Wagner EVO I?
Do you have any before (stock) and after (aFe, Turbosmart, FMIC, CP) dynos?
With the M3 control arms and LSD I am assuming the car is a cornering beast?

1) I noticed better response and consistency. I was in the middle of doing e-tuning so I can't really say if there was an increase in anything else.

2) I picked the Wagner for cost, ease of install, and the fact it replaces the stock CP. I have no complaints, it's been great. I also like stealth black look.

3) I haven't dynoed the car. I added the aFe, and FMIC at the same time with a Cobb v3 OTS map. The CP/BPV upgrade came later while I was doing e-tuning with Wedge.

4) I did all of the control arms, sway bars, diff bushings, and solid subframe bushings at the same time, so I can't say what part had the most effect, but yes, the car is COMPLETELY different now. I got the Ohlins and tires before doing any other suspension mods, and while it felt great, I still felt like it was lacking something. Especially the squat/shimmy in the rear end upder hard acceleration. With the stiffer bushings that is completely gone now.

New to the forum and happy to see more "is" love! I rarely see another is and haven't met anyone else who even knows they exist.

Absolutely LOVE the car! Came over from the e60 world and haven't regretted it for a second.

Welcome to the club! Beautiful color btw... Where in VA are you? I'm in Baltimore and have yet to see one on the road myself. It's kinda nice having something a little " special" haha... I'm fairly new to the BMW world as well and going through the whole learning curve. Just installed the Cobb V3 on my car yesterday and can say it's a nice little boost to an already quick car stock. Car has noticeably more low end torque and pulls harder all the way to redline. Definately worth it... Plus then you have the guys over at Wedge/BQ tuning to work their magic on it and it should really wake up!

Gorgeous ride and pic. I too came off a G (a 2010 G37S sedan) and it's actually a much better performance platform than people realize. Handled itself amazingly on the track and needed less suspension work to get comfortable than the 'is has required. I do love my 'is but that G is a steal for what it can do as a platform.

Thanks a lot. Yea the G is a great car for what its worth. Back when they came out in 2003 they were ahead of their time. I haven't driven any of the 2nd gen G cars, but coming from an 07, the 335is immediately felt like a whole different level of comfort and performance. Its exactly what I was looking for and what BMW is really known for. The G will always be respected though.

New owner here!

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new 335is owner! Alpine White E93 with Saddle interior and a good old fashioned three pedal manual!

Recently upgraded the amp and added a smart top as it didn't come with the comfort access option. Love the car so far!

Sorry about the picture quality in my garage. I'll get better ones with the top down on a sunny day soon!
