car covers question

Hey community, I just bought a new e90 that I have to temporarily park out on the street of drive way. I ordered a good quality car cover for it, which hasn't arrived yet, in order to protect the leather and paint. Question is; would you recommend a car cover or will they leave scratches on the paint?

I wouldn't recommend a car cover that you need to take on and off frequently. Rubbing anything against your paint is just a bad idea.

If you're parking the car and leaving it there for a while (as in, not driving it daily) then make sure the car is freshly washed before putting the cover on. This will give you the least chance of scratching. And of course, put it on and take it off slowly and with care.

+1 to all of that. If it's your DD, don't use the cover every day, you'll just scratch your paint. The cover is for when you leave the car parked outside and go on vacation.

Awesome thanks for the responses. It is my DD right now so I'll forgo the car cover and maybe look into tinting the windows.
