Interesting things .. you have put on your roof rack!

So I thought this thread might be fun, post interesting things you have carried.

This is what I carried today, a cabinet ... wouldn't fit in my wife's car .. nor do I have a truck. lol.

No it is not, but I do have a tint strip running on the top of my front window. It was just the angle of how the picture was taken.

I once saw a Porsche with a canoe strapped to the roof rack. Wish I'd had my camera; it looked absolutely ridiculous. The canoe was about twice as long as the Porsche. smh

I've honestly thought about buying roof racks just so i could carry large items if i ever had to...i have no other car or friends with big cars/trucks.

I can see it being extremely handy!

easier to carry a long ladder on a roof rack than it is in a pickup truck, unless you've got a really big pickup truck! I haven't had to move a ladder on my Bimmer yet, as I've got a Jeep that also has a roof rack, but my Rocky Mounts bike carriers just showed up last week

Thanks guys .. I had it tied down with ratchet type of straps, it wasn't going anywhere. My house was like 2 miles away, so I didn't have to go on the freeway

Here is the end result of my project'.

On the subject of roof racks, I used to use Thule square bars but for the Bimmer I got a good deal on a set of feet and the new Aeroblades (looks sort of like the factory BMW rack and functions similarly, but more swoopy) on Craigslist. From a functional standpoint I am kind of regretting not sticking with the square bars now, even though they'd look horribly dated and out of place on my car.

I bought the wheels from Pyspeed ... They are VMR 701's in graphite ... decently priced as well!
