Q7 is long as a bus. To the OP go check out the Touareg (I like it for the stealth factor) since you're still driving a vw.

RR S is a tank. It has 2 rear subframes.

I'd personally buy the Q5 or Touareg. New Cayenne is nice but would never buy a P SUV. E70 is bloated, Q7 is a bus, RR is nice but depreciates and has been known for reliability issues. Any others (may have missed 1-2) are not worth $45k, that simple.

If not constrained by your 09+, I'd look into the E53 4.8is. Uncle has one and it is an absolute beast. Also perfect size and (imo) best BMW SUV styling.

Sabine is a chick.

Though I highly doubt she would be asking anybody here for advice.

The Cayenne is the only SUV with the 'S' part of the acronym that's for real. If you pretend hard enough or can imagine creatively, then you might even think you were driving a 997 that only needed a diet.

The Touareg wins for good looks and stealth although there's no real performance hiding under its skin, so "stealth' is kinda an oxymoron. Same platform as the Cayenne but without the 'S' part. Tregs are soft and springy compared to the Peppers, and have somewhat numb tillers.

BMW X3/5, Cayenne, Range Rover, Volvo XC90, and Touareg are the only SUVs that aren't ugly as sin.

Toureg TDI. Truly stunning in person, top notch fit and finish, amazing interior.

And I'm a BMW salesman.
