There is Eastside Bavarian, Strictly BMW. But these shops have a high shop rate.

Haury's in Lake City now does service too, you can see what they quote you.

Here are some more shops:

Signature BMW (cheap labor rate, used to be a master tech at BMW of Bellevue)
Broad Stroke Associates (he is a bit further up North, and he used to be a master tech as well)

Lol that is sad. That shit takes 30 seconds. Plus $30 or so for a filter at rockauto etc. As for the brake fluid, extremely easy but tedious, you need two people to bleed the brakes. However, if your lazy you can just use a turkey baster and do a 75% job getting out as much fluid as you can and filling it up with new fluid.

Did this for the power steering and brake fluid for my Civic. Took no longer than 30 mins.

Oil changes take about 30 mins. Spark plugs, once you know what to do, also takes 30 mins. I had a brake light malfunction took 60 secs to swap the bulb. I have front brakes coming up, looks really straight forward, I'm anticipating 30 mins, an hour if I do the rotors. I can't believe how easy it is to maintain our vehicles. Only thing I'm concerned about is the auto tranny fluid if I ever decide to change it.

I've never do any of the maintenance on my car, even though I took shop class in high school and learned most of the basic stuff: serpentine belt, replacing wheel bearings, replacing brakes, oil changes, tranny fluid changes, etc etc. I'm just lazy

i just had mine serviced out of warranty.
I did the micro filter myself $25 versus the $120 they wanted, had them do the brake fluid for the $160 they wanted and have them change the oil for $109 since last time i did it it cost me $75 in materials and it was cold outside.

Do these costs include the computer service reset? I've told BMW NW to skip the reset, which is like a $40 charge or something and did it myself. You can do that yourself in like 10 seconds. Also, always check their website for coupons. They currently have one valid through the end of March for $15 off $100-200 or $25 off $200-300. Also 10% off if you make your appointment between 6-7am (not sure if you can stack those or not).

They also run coupons for oil changes monthly or bi-monthly for $80 (not sure how much that is off the normal rate), but doesn't seem bad since it's like 60-70 bucks for oil/materials.

Definitely DIY on the microfilter. That was super easy (coming from somebody who had pretty much never messed with anything under the hood of any car prior).

On an indi shop note, if anybody knows any good shops down south more in the Tacoma area, please share. Too much of a PITA to drive from Puyallup up to Strictly or Broad Stroak. I tried calling Rolf's Imports when I needed to change my spark plugs and I'm pretty sure they quoted me higher than BMW NW
